GCU seeks to encourage development of new businesses, housing, and community programs throughout the minority community.
GCU work with local government, school systems, community groups, and state and federal programs to bridge the gaps and break barriers that inhibit growth in the minority community.
In part of its continuous efforts to encourage economic development in all parts of the Campbellsville community, Greater Campbellsville United seeks to:
- Cross all racial, religious, and gender line to encourage area economical growth.
- Prepare all areas of the minority communities for economic development.
- Provide educational and training opportunities.
- Increase public awareness of cultural diversity represented in our community.
- Facilitate community activities that celebrate diversity among all aspects of culture and ethnicity.
- Join with local efforts to reduce racial tensions and disparities.
- Support institutions and organizations that promote diversity and inclusion.
- Unite with the local government and assist in its efforts to heal race relations.
- Build partnerships with local business, educational, religious, and political leaders to implement opportunities for improvement for all groups.
- Discover ways to improve the quality of life in Campbellsville's minority community.

Team Taylor County is the official economic development organization of Campbellsville-Taylor County, Kentucky.
The organization works under the guiding principle that economic development only occurs when communities work as a team with community as the end goal.
Towards that end, Team Taylor County both operates and/or coordinates with a host of other organizations to provide the community with a holistic approach to economic development.
