A native of Campbellsville, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, BA 1989, McMahan has more than twelve years of experience in economic development in Kentucky.  With Team Taylor County since October 2005, McMahan directs the community and economic development initiatives to grow the economy and serve as an advocate for business.  

Prior to taking the role of Executive Director with Team Taylor County, McMahan was a Development Specialist with the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development for a fourteen county region in South Central Kentucky.

Currently, McMahan is pursuing his Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification through the International Economic Development Council.  McMahan is a member of the Kentucky Association of Economic Development (KAED), Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).  He is on the Southeast Kentucky Economic Development Corp. Advisory Committee and sits on the Campbellsville Christian Church board, where he serves as deacon.  Formerly, Ron was a member of the Campbellsville Independent School Board of Education. 

McMahan resides in Campbellsville with his wife Cathy and their two daughters Katelyn and Caroline.
